FAQs

  • Expect to hang out for 30 minutes for a single plate. If you’re getting multiple plates or into the process and want to learn more about it, expect to spend 45-60 minutes in the studio.

  • It all depends on the size! Ideally for 4x5 plates 1-2 folks, and 1-3 for 5x7 and up to 4 or more for 8x10 plates. For groups larger than 4, just get in touch and let me know what you’re looking to capture!

  • Don’t over think it! The most important thing is that you’re comfortable and feel good in what ya got on. Most shots are framed relatively tight, and from the chest up. But a few things to keep in mind would be, shirts with words will be backwards, and most glasses will show up lookin a little bit like transition lenses. I encourage patterns and textures as they photograph. best!

  • You sure can! The process has come a long way since 1851, and while it's almost instant, squirming can result in some motion blur, so be aware!

  • Yes, we all love our pets! Keep in mind, getting your pet to sit still could be a challenge. Please reach out to discuss when you book so we can talk about it!

  • The imperfections are kinda what makes this process stand out. No two images are alike and no image is completely perfect. There are certain “imperfections” that will appear on the plate. But if the chemistry is really acting up, we will reshoot!

  • I want you to like your picture! That being said, this process is completely analog start to finish. If your plate does not turn out because of my mistake, or my chemistry, we will absolutely re shoot! However, if you don’t like your hair, the look you gave etc, we can reshoot for an additional $25.

  • This depends! Typically plates will be finished within 2-4 business days from our shoot. This includes the digital scans. If you have a specific deadline or need, let me know and I can do my best to accommodate!

  • I can bring this show on the road! If you're interested in having me at a pop up, market, event, grand opening, etc etc, contact me to discuss!
